PKAVS Third Sector Interface (TSI) offers support for groups helping others

The COVID-19 pandemic has seen a significant number of people willingly stepping up to help others in their communities in these difficult times. Our experience of late is that many volunteers will have to go back to their day job when the current restrictions start to be lifted progressively. A lack of volunteers had been an issue for many organisaitons and community groups prior to and will certainly still be beyond this pandemic.

When the nation is slowly recovering from the pandemic, PKAVS/TSI want to help you reach as many volunteers as possible in order to rebuild the volunteering capacity of your organisaiton. We can do that by promoting your volunteering opportunity on Volunteer Scotland Opportunities Search Site and Saltire Awards Find Opportunities (age appropriate) where many potential volunteers looking for opportunities. Key features of these pages are as follows:

  • Filter function to help narrow down the search to specific requirements e.g. location, time availability, activities, themes etc.
  • Once people find their interested opportunity they can just register their interest on the webpage. Relevant organisation looking to recruit volunteers will then get a notification either from the webpage directly or from us, depending on the way of communication the recruiting organisation prefers.
  • Volunteer opportunity will be live for 6 months on this page.
  • Recruiting organisation can renew the publication once the opportunity has reached the 6 months limit.

In addition, we can also share your opportunity on our social media channel as people respond really well to the specific posts on social media.

To benefit from the above free services, all you need to do is to register your opportunity with us by filling up a simple template. This is for the purpose of database.

If you have any volunteer opportunity and would like us to help with recruiting through the above methods, we would be delighted to hear from you.
