Extreme Way 2019

Pilgrims set off on the 2019 Extreme Way of the Cross – just one of thousands of similar pilgrimages taking place around the world as the Church draws close to Holy Week and the Passion of Christ.

Perth coordinator, Jaromir Kruczynski said, “The Extreme Stations of the Cross started in Poland but has now spread all across Europe and into North America. It is a phenomenal way to prepare yourself for the feast of Easter with the opportunity to meditate on our Lord’s Passion, in silence, journeying through the night, stopping only to mark each Station.

The group of pilgrims received a blessing from St John’s parish priest, Canon Steven Mulholland, before setting off to the start point of their 25 mile walk, at Dunkeld.
