Keep in touch

One of the best ways for new members of the parish to meet new people is become involved in one of the activities that support parish life – making teas, working in the shop or parsh library, helping with cleaning and flower arranging, working in the garden, supporting our youth, joining the church choir, reading, serving at Mass, working as a catchecist – there are so many different ways to become involved.

Are you a Catholic? How you lost touch?

We want you to know you have been greatly missed your contribution is very valuable. So are your God given gifts, and we are incomplete without them.

The Church is made up of ordinary people, fragile and imperfect human beings who are not perfect but are trying hard to be a true family where everyone is welcome.

International welcome

Our annual International Party is a popular event. The idea for such an event as an international party emerged from a Parish Pilgrimage to Arbroath about three years’ ago. Discussions took place between Filippino and Scottish parishioners attending. It was thought a good idea to welcome new ethnic groups to a party in our Church Hall. This was later confirmed at a PC meeting. As the Irish and Italian groups were already well established, it was decided that the Filippino, the Indian, and the Polish groups would be welcomed with the Scottish group from our parish being the main hosting group. As things turned out the organising committee, composed of members from each of the ethnic groups, planned over the last two years as is the plan for this year’s International Party – on Friday 6th May.
