Earlier this year, traditional, large-scale celebrations of First Communion were cancelled across the country, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The schools were closed for pupils and churches were locked too.
But, since the re-opening of our churches in September, even with numbers at Mass restricted to a maximum of 50, families have been seeking out a quieter, individual celebration, for their children, during a regular Sunday Mass in the parish, rather than delaying the Sacrament
Over a series of Sunday Masses, Fr Bogdan has now celebrated First Holy Communion with most of the Polish children.
